• CHANGES TO REMITTANCE/TRANSFERS

We will now convert CAD to CUC’s, if you send us USD, we shall convert to CAD. Our Fee schedule has been updated to reflect Canadian Dollars. Your beneficiary shall continue to receive Cuban Convertible Pesos (CUC) on their Transcard account.

• NEW CONDITIONS FOR THE 10% DISCOUNT APPLICATIONS

The 10% discount will only be applicable for the Smart-Transfer customers who conduct their own transactions online (WEBUSERS). The discount will no longer apply to Smart-Transfer customers requesting to conduct remittance transactions over the counter or on the phone. We kindly encourage you to make use of the WEBUSER benefits offered by the Smart-Transfer Program.

• NEW SECURITY IMPLEMENTATIONS

To guarantee our customer’s protection, a new security check will be shortly implemented to validate the authenticity of the Smart-Transfer customers and the legitimacy of the request. This will be in place every time a customer requests information such as account balance, transaction information, etc., and/or a money transaction over the phone.

The security check will be conducted by our staff and properly recorded.

We encourage all our customers to keep their personal information records up to date; otherwise, it will be impossible to retrieve account information or to conduct transactions over the phone.

• NEW CUBAN REGULATION RULING US EXCHANGE

Clients will not be affected by the new USD exchange regulation (08/2004) in Cuba. Using any of our cards, you will be exempt from paying the 10% surcharge when sending money, traveling to Cuba or exchanging USD into pesos convertibles.
